Japan defender Hiroki Ito is likely to return as a potential option for the coach in late October.

Ufabet reported on Friday that Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany has received good news from Hiroki Ito as the Japan international defender nears his recovery and is ready to be available for selection towards the end of October.

Bayern Munich paid Ito’s €30m release clause from Stuttgart last summer, but he suffered a fractured metatarsal during a pre-season friendly and will need surgery and be out for around three months.

The 25-year-old defender is reported to have been undergoing a rehabilitation process over the past two to three weeks and has been training on the pitch during the October international break.

Further reports suggest that Bayern Munich’s Champions League clashes with Stuttgart and Barcelona after the international break are too soon for Ito, UFABET with the Japan international expected to return for either the trip to Bochum in the Bundesliga on October 27 or the trip to Mainz in the DFB-Pokal on October 31.

Ito’s recovery is good news for Kompany, who can now rotate centre-backs in addition to Dayot Upamecano, Kim Min-jae and Eric Dyer.

Ito had to stop training immediately and made his way to the dressing room with Bayern physio Simon Martinello. According to Catalina, he is currently being examine more closely by the FCB doctors. Another absence would be a bitter setback, both for Ito and FC Bayern.

The Japanese international moved from VfB Stuttgart to the German record champions in the summer for 23.5 million euros. Due to a serious injury in the summer, the left-footer has not yet played a game for Bayern.
